Honest Abe

I am tired...gonna try and be brief.

Woke up
Put on dirty clothes
Walked in the cold to Panera to obtain coffee and bagel for breakfast
Walked back to hotel to loaf on the internet
Shower
Got spiffed up to visit Abe's home in Springfield
Toured Abe's crib
Took pictures
Raced back to hotel
Ate Steak-n-Shake for dinner (gross but oh so good)
Attended cookie reception held for us by a local University
Listened to presentations about the Deaf Community
(Did you know that the hand signals for "strike" and "foul ball" in baseball were created because of Dummy Hoy...the deaf pro ball player back in the 1880's? I didn't.)
Schlepped back to the hotel
Talked to my beau...well we both sort of mumbled
Watched Obama on the tube (HEALTHCARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Got in my jammies
Hunkered down to write this.
